Distance. Drinks. Maybe even strategy.
Cape Ride is a one-day team bicycle scavenger hunt on Cape Cod. Teams of two, one rail trail, and a day of questionable decisions — meticulously scored.
Saturday, October 10 10am–5pm Cape Cod Rail Trail, Mid-Cape
Grind the trail all day, or work the densest venue crawl you can plan. Historically both have won, and that tension is the entire event.

Three ways to score.
Pick your poison.
Miles
1 pt / mile
Report your cumulative mileage off your own bike computer at every check-in. Grind the rail trail all day and barely stop — that’s a strategy, and it has won.
Reach 75 miles and earn +25 bonus points. Points are floored per rider, so 42.3 miles is 42 points.
Venues
10 pts / venue
Buy the official item at each qualifying venue. Every qualifying purchase is worth points for the rider who buys it.
Return to a venue for points only after checking in somewhere else. The list is below.
Photo Ops
5 pts / rider
Four official spots. You score only if you are featured in the photo. The spots are listed below.
Everything is per rider
A team’s score is the two riders’ individual totals added together. Each rider scores on their own, and teammates do not need to ride together.
Check in every 30 minutes
One tap, plus the number off your bike computer. Location is read at that moment only, never in the background.
Each rider must check in at least every 30 minutes. A rider who is late loses 1 point per minute for every minute past 30, until that rider checks in again. The penalty is individual, not team-wide.
Honor system, verified
Keep the paper receipt. Winners are checked against receipts and ride files before anything is confirmed.
